Exhibition dates

The Baltic Sea Cultural Centre announces an opening on 11 September 2026 at 18:00. Regular visits to Mycology: The Secret Life of Fungi run from 12 September to 5 October, 09:00–18:00. The venue is the ground-floor gallery of Gdańsk's Old Town Hall at Korzenna 33/35. Admission is free. The distinction between the opening evening and regular visiting hours comes from the organiser's programme.

Fungi as an artistic subject

The programme brings together illustrations, tapestries and three-dimensional works by artists from three countries. We suggest looking at the scale each artist chooses: an individual fruiting body, a forest, or an imagined system underground. That offers a starting point for your own reading of a work without treating an artistic metaphor as a diagram of a scientific result.

A separately organised observation walk in Oliwa Forest accompanies the exhibition on 19 September. It has its own tickets and participation rules. Free gallery admission does not automatically include the field event. Check the centre's current notices before visiting, particularly if you require access assistance. The programme page is in Polish.
