Terms of Use

1. General

MykoRadar (“the Service”) is a free information site about fungi. This host, mykoradar.com, publishes the English edition. It is free to read and has no paid tier; it is funded by advertising and voluntary reader support (section 5). Using the Service means accepting these terms.

2. Information only — and safety

Everything here — including anything touching on edibility, seasonality, distribution or the rules on picking — is educational and informational only. It is not advice, not a foraging guide, and not a means of identifying a mushroom for eating.

Never eat a mushroom identified on the strength of this site. Picking and eating are decisions you make at your own risk and after consulting someone qualified. The operator accepts no liability for the consequences of relying on information published here.

Country pages describe the rules on picking as we found them on the date shown. Law changes, and local rules override national ones — confirm with the relevant forest authority before you travel. That date is part of the information, not decoration.

3. No accounts on this host

This edition is read-only: there is no registration, no login and nothing to submit. The Polish edition at mykoradar.pl does accept field reports from registered users, under its own terms.

4. Content and copyright

Entries are written by MykoRadar from the sources named on each page. Photographs come from third parties — largely Wikimedia Commons — under their own licences, and each carries its author and licence next to it. Rights in those images belong to their authors, and the licence shown governs any reuse. Rights in scientific publications cited belong to their publishers; we link to them rather than reproduce them.

You may quote and link to our entries with attribution. If you believe something here infringes your rights, tell us and we will act on it.

5. Advertising

The Service carries adverts served by Google AdSense. They are labelled and kept separate from editorial content, and no part of the site is conditional on accepting them — everything here reads in full with an ad blocker running.

Advertisers are responsible for the content of their adverts and Google for selecting them. We are not party to any contract you enter with an advertiser and accept no liability for goods or services advertised. If an advert here is unlawful or misleading, tell us — we can pass it on and block the advertiser.

6. Availability

The Service is provided “as is”, with no warranty of continuous availability, completeness or freedom from error. We may change, add or withdraw features and content.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and it carries the date it was last changed.
